I have loved racing since before I could walk. With no motorsport heritage in our family, my racing spirit comes from within.
Having battled through a heart condition at birth that resulted in me being the youngest ever recipient of a heart transplant in NZ at the time, I started out in karting at age 7. I had much success in the Cadet and Mini-rok classes, winning multiple club championships, Top Half, and runner-up in the New Zealand National Championships.
In 2018, my family and I made the huge commitment of moving to Europe to further chase the dream. I raced in DKM (German National Championships), WSK series, and CIK-FIA World Championships. Without the backing to work with the big teams, I always had the speed but results were hard to come by. The highlight was fighting back to place 39th at the CIK-FIA World Championship after a ruined qualifying session.
In December 2022, my supporters gave me the opportunity to race in the 2022/23 Formula Open NZ championship using Toyota FT-50's, the ex TRS car. This was the perfect opportunity for me to both gain experience in single-seater cars and prove myself against the likes of Ken Smith, Tom Alexander, and some of NZ's best racing drivers.
The season went exceptionally well for me with multiple wins, podiums, and a pole position securing me 4th place in the Graeme Lawrence cup and overall Rookie of the Year. Now, under the mentorship of Ken Smith, I feel I am ready to take on the next step on my motorsport journey...
In order to be the best, I tirelessly work on the following 3 things:
Always looking to uncover speed from the data and onboard telemetry, one of my favourite aspects of motor racing.
Unless you work with the best you're only driving, to go racing I love to work with the best in the business!
Keeping in peak performance allows me to work harder on the track. Endurance training combined with strength work delivers results!
